Style it Saturday, Red Coat

Welcome back to another edition of Style it Saturday…on a Wednesday?

It’s that weird week in between Christmas and New Year’s, when no one really knows what day it is. So I decided that it was perfectly acceptable to post a Style it Saturday on a Wednesday! 🙂

Today I am sharing 3 ways to style a red coat after Christmas. During the holidays there are countless ways to wear your red coat. After Christmas comes and goes, it doesn’t have to stay in the back of your closet! Red coats are fun to wear all winter long. (As a reminder, you can find all of the exact items featured today by clicking on the photos and following my commissionable links. You will also find other suggested items that would work in different price ranges.)

First, I am showing my favorite way to wear a red coat after Christmas. I love wearing a red coat with a blue and white button-up shirt. Paired with these trouser jeans and neutral accessories, this is a sophisticated and timeless look.

Next, I am showing how you can wear a red coat for a fun night out! Red + leopard print is always a YES for me. Add in some faux leather pants, and this just became a sexy date night outfit. You could swap the leather pants for jeans, and it would be equally cute!

Finally, here’s a fun way to wear a red coat while running errands or having lunch with your gal pals! I linked a lot of other shirts that would also work well with this casual look, so be sure to click the photo for more ideas.

That’s all for today! Be sure to subscribe below so that you never miss a post. (You can unsubscribe at any time.) You can also follow me on LTK, Instagram, or Facebook.

Amazon capsule wardrobes for the whole family

Style it Saturday – Amazon Capsule Wardrobes

Welcome back to another edition of Style it Saturdays! Today I am excited to share some capsule wardrobes for the whole family. These capsule wardrobes are all featuring pieces that you can find on Amazon.com.

What is a capsule wardrobe? Capsule wardrobes are made up of pieces of clothing that can be mixed and matched for countless outfits. The wardrobe as a whole uses a fewer number of clothing items, usually in classic colors or styles. Capsule wardrobes save time and money and mostly steer away from trendy pieces. As always, you can click on any of the pictures below to be taken to the exact items featured.

Here is a capsule wardrobe for women. All of the items featured belong to the “Amazon Essentials” store. Amazon Essentials are the same quality items you find in name brands, but at a lower price point.

Next is a capsule wardrobe for men. This capsule also features items from the “Amazon Essentials” store.

Here is a capsule wardrobe for girls. Not all of these items are from the “Essentials” store, but they are all from Amazon at great prices.

Finally, here is a capsule wardrobe for boys. Again, these are all great pieces you can find on Amazon.

I hope you found these capsule wardrobes helpful. You can find more posts like this from me over on LTK. LTK is easiest to use on their free app. Find me there by searching “BelleAntiquarian.”

Until next time!

Three ways to style a white button up

One Item, Three Ways – Style it Saturday

Welcome back to another edition of Style it Saturdays!

This week I am showing three examples of how you can take one piece of clothing and style it three ways. It’s a great way to stretch your clothing budget and get the most out of one classic piece. As always, if you want to find these exact pieces, you can click the photos to be taken to the commissionable links.

First, I want to show you three ways that you can style a classic houndstooth blazer. As you can see below, this coordinates well over a dress, a skirt (or dress slacks), and even a casual pair of jeans. Sometimes we can overthink when it would be an appropriate time to wear a blazer. However, if you think of it as just a jacket or outerwear, you can wear it almost anytime you’d wear a regular jacket.

Next, I am sharing three suggestions on how to style a white button-up shirt. This particular shirt is a little oversized, but you could certainly wear a more fitted white shirt in these same ways.

Lastly, this week I am sharing three ways to style a fun, autumn piece – a vest. Vests are great for fall, when temperatures fluctuate wildly during the day. They’re an easy way to keep comfortable by adding or removing layers quickly. I’m showing a vest in a rich autumn color, but any neutrally colored vest is a great addition to your wardrobe.

You’re invited to follow me on LTK, where you can see more decor and fashion. The easiest way to use LTK is on the free app. Search “BelleAntiquarian” to find me there.

Style it Saturday, October 16, 2021

Welcome back to another edition of Style it Saturday, where I share a round-up of outfits from the week before. Today I am changing things up a little bit and sharing pictures of me wearing the outfits, so that you can see what they look like on. Let me know in the comments which way you prefer to see my outfits. As always, you can click any photo to be taken to the commissionable links to find those exact pieces.

You may recognize this shirt and bag from a previous Style it Saturday post! Here I am wearing it with some cute boots and pumpkin colored pants. The shirt is made by Ralph Lauren, and costs a little bit more than other denim shirts. But it’s very well made, and the attention to detail makes it worth the price. The sleeves are very feminine, and the mother-of-pearl snaps have a faint RL logo. This is not your run of the mill boxy shirt. *I recommend going up one size in the shirt.* My bag is made of woven wool, and comes in multiple colors and patterns. The top of the bag zips closed, and it is perfect for carrying everything you need.

Here’s another outfit you may recognize from last week’s SIS post. I wanted to show you some different ways that you could style this dress. Either black or brown shoes look great with it, and sneakers would look great, too! On the right I added a leather belt that I thrifted. On the left I just added a basic jean jacket. This dress has pockets, and the bottom is lined. It’s under $50, and it’s super cute on!

Remember this outfit? The whole outfit is super affordable, and I love it! It’s a little hard to tell from the picture, but there is smocking and peplum waist on this shirt. Combined with the V-neck, it’s a very flattering and feminine look.

Yep, you’ll recognize this outfit from last week, too. Here’s what it looks like on! This vintage fit sweatshirt has slits – so cozy. I wear it with leggings, jeans, and even to sleep! I love it so much that I bought it in several colors.

Lastly for this week, here’s Sam wearing a cute outfit! It would also look cute with some suede knee boots and a jean jacket.

That’s all for this week! See you next time.

Style it Saturday – October 9, 2021

Welcome back to another edition of Style it Saturday, where I share a round up of outfits from the week before. This week I am sharing a mix of outfits for cooler fall temps, as well as some transitional outfits for areas still experiencing warmer temps…like mine! As always, you can click any of the photos featured to be taken directly to the commissionable links to find the exact pieces.

First up is an outfit that I think would be PERFECT for fall family pictures, Thanksgiving dinner, or any other fall event that calls for a gorgeous, timeless dress! I’m showing how simply changing the jacket choice will make this either casual or formal.

Just like the dress above, here I am wearing a shirt that shows how good brown and black can be together! This shirt is very affordable, and I found the tailoring of it to be very thoughtful and flattering. (Sometimes more affordable button up shirts can be “boxy” and unflattering, but not this one!) I am wearing the small. If you’re in between sizes, size down.

Okay, I just got these pieces in the mail yesterday, and I *love* this shirt! I can’t wait to share with you a picture of it on. It’s hard to tell here, but the neckline is v-neck, there is smocking under the bust line, and transitions to a peplum hem. Ladies, this creates a flattering waistline. No waist = not flattering. Even if you aren’t happy with what your waistline looks line, it is essential to create the illusion of one!

Below I wanted to show you how this olive green sweater can be an amazing neutral pieces in your fall wardrobe. Here are five different ways to style it! Dress it up, or dress it down, it’s a great pieces to layer with this fall.

I wanted to share this little black flutter dress with you! This is a 3 season piece – just add a jean jacket, sweater, or blazer to get the most wear out of it. I am wearing a size small, and could easily have gone up to a medium.

Okay, okay…so can you tell I’m a little obsessed with the brown/black combo this season? I am *in love* with this dress. It’s sophisticated, classy, and yet a little flirty if you ask me! As usual, I LOVE the attention to the seaming and tailoring. It makes all the difference in quality, well made pieces. (Notice around the shoulder and cuffs – to die for.)

Am I the only one completely over jeans with stretch?? Over.It. So I am on the quest for 100% cotton jeans to replace all my loosey-goosey ones with. Here’s what I’ve learned: when you purchase your normal size, you’re going to feel like they’re too small. But 100% cotton jeans mold to YOUR BODY. After wearing them in, your 100% cotton jeans will fit your body perfectly, even after washing. Here are some affordable pieces I found on Amazon. A couple of these are name brands, which you’ll find much more expensive elsewhere.

I admit it, I should’ve just titled this post “Brown and Black.” And ten years from now you’ll find me wearing the exact same pieces. Why? Because #1 They’re classic pieces that never go out of style. #2 They’re quality materials that don’t wear out.

That’s all for this week! See you next time!

Style it Saturday: September 25, 2021

Welcome back to Style it Saturday, where I share a recap of outfits from the week before. Fall officially began this past week, so today I have a few more fall inspired outfits to share with you. As always, to find these exact pieces you can click on any photo to be taken to the commissionable links on my LTK.

First up is this sharp look for work. By now you know that I love classic pieces that you can add to your wardrobe and will last for years. Everything pictured here falls into that category! This is a look that keeps up that polished, sophisticated style for the office.

Another look for this office! You may recognize both this skirt and the denim shirt, since I have shared each of them before separately. I wanted to show you how amazing they look TOGETHER! Ralph Lauren tops tend to run small, so I recommend that you order up one size. (I just exchanged my small for a medium, which I hope to show you soon!) Be sure to follow the link to this outfit, because I have also added some shoes and accessories that would go perfectly with it.

Here is a look that is definitely more casual than the two above. This vintage fit sweatshirt is SO GOOD that I ordered myself a second one. Layer a denim shirt underneath, add some distressed black denim, a cute hat, and comfy shoes…you’re ready to take on lunch, errands, or ball games. This sweatshirt comes in multiple colors, and I’ve also linked several hat options.

This week I am only sharing four outfits, so below is the last one. This one comes with a style tip! If you find a dress that is “mini” and you’re not comfortable with the length…see if you can order it in a “tall” version! That may solve the length problem for you!

If you want to save any of these looks or keep current with the new ones I post, be sure to follow my blog or find my Style it Saturdays board on Pinterest. (see below)

Style it Saturday – September 18, 2021

Welcome Back to Style it Saturday, where I share a round up of outfits from the week before. With the first official day of fall quickly approaching, I am sharing more outfits for cooler weather. As always, you can click any photo or highlighted caption to find my commissionable links for these exact pieces. Never miss an outfit by following me on LiketoKnow.it.

The first outfit I want to share with you is this cute dress. The tailored seaming on the top, along with the flouncy skirt on the bottom makes this flattering for women of all shapes. I’m layering it with a jean jacket and finishing it off with these fun boots and a hat.

You can find my commissionable links for these exact pieces by either clicking the photo above or HERE.

This next outfit can take you from the office and then out to dinner. Although it’s hard to see in this picture, there is a vertical seam on the front of the jean, which elongates the legs. The sheer sleeves with the ruffle are a detail that you won’t want to miss. And don’t miss the intertwined snake on the purse.

This next look is pretty much my fall go-to look. Jeans + button up + crewneck sweater. Add in a classic loafer and you’ve got an outfit that truly never goes out of style.

Here’s an outfit perfect for the pumpkin patch or apple picking! Shackets (shirt + jacket) are very on trend this year, and this one is more my style than others that I’ve seen. Since it is a solid denim material, you can wear it with more outfit combinations than a plaid one. (Which would also be cute, btw.) This fanny pack holds your phone, keys, and wallet – which frees up your hands to hold all of the pumpkins, apples, and PSLs.

Have an office holiday party or wedding coming up? This outfit is the one! This jewel-toned dress is flattering on all skin tones!

Here are the fall accessories I’m using! Sometimes all a basic outfit needs in order to be elevated is the perfect accessory.

Who knew that Amazon had high quality purses at amazing prices?! Am I the last person to get this secret memo? Some of these are hand-made and leather…what???

Finally, is anyone else LOVING the Yellowstone TV series? Ken and I love watching it together. Here are a few pieces inspired by the show!

Style it Saturday – September 11, 2021

Welcome back to Style it Saturdays, where I share some outfits from the week before! This week I am sharing some fun fall favorites!

If you’ve been following along, then you know that I love to add classic basics that are easily used in multiple looks. Choosing classic pieces made with quality materials means they can be worn for years to come. Sometimes this means investing a little bit more, but over time you’ll end up saving money instead of replacing lower quality clothing. Check out these looks below! (As always, you can find these exact pieces by clicking the photos with my commissionable links.)

This tan blazer, denim shirt, and black pants are pieces that will never go out of style. What I love about this denim shirt is that it has been tailored to be flattering – not a boxy, square shirt that doesn’t look feminine!

You can find these exact pieces by clicking the photo or HERE.

The boots below have amazing reviews! They are called a “combat boot”, but the chestnut leather color definitely takes them up a notch. They will look amazing with both dresses and jeans alike!

You can find these exact pieces by clicking the photo above or HERE.

Fall is the perfect time to introduce some richer jewel tones to your wardrobe. The reason I love the pieces below is that they can transition you from summer to fall. They each also work well with layering for those days that start and end chilly, but leave you warm in the middle.

You can find these exact pieces by clicking the photo above or HERE.

Are you guys loving the Yellowstone TV series as much as we are?! This outfit I put together below was inspired by the show. Jean dresses are HUGE this season, and I absolutely love this Wrangler one. It is the same quality jean material as ones that are twice the price, and it is tailored in a much more flattering shape than the spendier ones.

You can find these exact pieces by clicking the photo above or HERE.

If you are looking some affordable pieces to pick up this fall, this outfit below is for you. I love the unique hemline of the skirt! And the blazer + shirt are perfect colors for fall.

You can find these exact pieces by clicking the photo above or HERE.

These basics below are perfect examples of pieces you can add to your wardrobe this fall, and then mix and match them for dozens of outfits!

That’s all for this week! I hope your fall gets off to a great start.

Style it Saturdays, May 8, 2021

Welcome to another edition of Style it Saturdays, where I share outfits from the week before! This week I am sharing some office outfits, date night outfits, and outfits perfect to wear as a guest to a wedding. As always, to find and shop for any of the pieces pictured, simply click on any photo to find my commissionable links for those items. Enjoy!

I really love the dress below. Not only is the color beautiful, but it can be dressed up or down depending on what you pair it with. I would definitely wear this to a wedding, but I would also wear it to a casual day out.

This look below is definitely a little more casual than the last one. The dress is light and airy, perfect for a hot summer day. The jacket is relaxed and oversized, so size up or down depending on your personal preference. I’ve also included one of my all-time favorite perfumes and my favorite dry shampoo.

I love the crisp, bold contrast of the outfit below. The black against the white is perfectly pulled together by this unique bag. I would wear this to dinner with my husband or out to brunch with friends.

Here’s another one-shoulder look that is perfect for warm weather. This top is fun and classy with the jungle print and striped neckline.

I love this dress below to wear to a wedding or event. You could add a blazer and wear it to the office, too. It’s a classic combination of French blue and black. It’s a piece that can stay in your wardrobe forever. I love how the pleats in the clutch compliment the dress.

Here’s another blue dress below. This color is definitely on-trend this year! I love the cut on this one. It can add curves if you need some, but it is also flattering if you have curves already. For this look I’ve gone with a neutral shoe and bag. The block heel on the shoes are very comfortable if you will be spending a lot of time on your feet.

For the last look this week I am sharing some of my favorite workout pieces. If you follow me on Instagram you know that I have RAVED about these leggings for a long time. They were discontinued at one point, but they are back and in multiple colors. I have four pairs in black, and I just added this pink pair below. Ladies, you need these. The top of the leggings don’t roll down. The pockets are perfect to hold your phone. I wear these every day! The running shoes are the only brand that my family wears. They provide the perfect amount of support and room in the toe box of the shoe. Some of us have wide feet and others have narrow feet – these shoes work for all of us!

Until next time…have a great weekend!
